Zircon coil plaster castable
Zircon Coil Plaster Castable is a hydraulic setting coil plaster supplied as a dry powder. It is mixed with water to a trowelling consistency, in order for it to be utilised to coat electric induction furnace coils as protection from molten metal penetration through furnace lining.
To put simply, the zircon coil acts as a protective layer in order to prevent the electric induction coils in the induction furnace from heating up.
The zircon coil may also be used as a high temperature castable.
It is resistant up to 1750oC.
